Turmeric is less effective when we consume it directly. For better results and absorption in your body, you need to combine it with other spices like ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and black pepper. You can choose any one of these spices with turmeric or can add all in turmeric tea.
Recipe 1
- First of all, put some water in a pan and boil it.
- Add turmeric and ginger/cinnamon/black pepper. ( you can choose either of these ingredients with turmeric)
- Now, simmer the heat for 7-8 minutes.
- Turn off the stove and strain the tea into a cup.
- If you want a sweetener, you can add honey and also lime juice.

Here is one more turmeric tea recipe that is also called golden milk. I recommend using non-dairy milk like coconut milk, almond milk, etc. But if you do not have any of these, then you can use cow milk.
- Place a pan on low heat and add milk.
- Now add turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom powder, ginger(optional), coconut oil(optional), and a pinch of black pepper.
- Keep the flame low and stir it with a whisker. It will make some froth and thicken the drink.
- Be careful while stirring the milk. It should not stick with the pan.
- Just keep it hot don’t boil the milk.
- After 5-6 minutes, turn off the gas and serve it with adding some sweetener.
